YDS exam fee 2026: how much do YDS and e-YDS cost, and how do you pay?

Short answer
In 2026 the paper YDS fee is TRY 1,200, TRY 1,800 (50% more) on the late application day; e-YDS costs TRY 2,150 and is paid by card only. You pay at one of the banks in the guide or by card under ÖDEMELER on ÖSYM’s site; an unpaid application is deleted, and a paid fee is not refunded even if you do not sit the exam. Relatives of martyrs and veterans pay nothing.

Are refunds possible?
No. Under ÖSYM’s guide, candidates whose application is void, who do not or cannot sit the exam, who are removed from it, or who pay unnecessarily or more than once get no refund and no transfer to another exam. Paying correctly is the candidate’s responsibility.
Payment deadline
The first working day after the application period is the last day to pay: by close of business at a bank, by 23:59 for card and online banking. For 2026-YDS/2 applications ran 30 September–8 October and the payment deadline was 9 October 2026. Applicants abroad pay the same fee in Turkish lira by card on ÖSYM’s site.
Who pays nothing?
By decision of ÖSYM’s board, spouses and children of martyrs, and veterans with their spouses and children, pay neither the exam fee nor the application service fee. The exemption is checked against social security (SGK) records; a candidate not found there has to pay.
