What is the new TOEFL iBT (2026) like?
It has four sections: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. Reading and Listening are adaptive, so questions follow your performance. It takes about 2 hours in total and is run by ETS.

How is the new TOEFL scored?
Each section and the total are reported on a 1–6 scale in half-point steps. During the transition the 0–120 equivalent is reported as well.
