How do I apply for YDS? YDS application dates, steps and fee

Short answer
You apply for YDS in ÖSYM’s candidate system (ais.osym.gov.tr), its mobile app or at an ÖSYM application centre during the application days in the calendar; the application is complete only once the fee is paid. In 2026 the paper YDS costs TRY 1,200, TRY 1,800 on the late application day, and e-YDS TRY 2,150. Application and payment deadlines are in the calendar below.

Step by step
- During the application days, sign in to ÖSYM’s system (ais.osym.gov.tr) and choose the open session; first-time applicants, or anyone whose photo is out of date, must go to an application centre.
- Choose the exam language; you can sit only one language per session.
- Pay the fee within the window: at one of the banks in the guide, or by card under e-İŞLEMLER › ÖDEMELER on ÖSYM’s site. Card and online-banking payments close at 23:59 on the first working day after the application period.
- Confirm in the system that the application is complete and keep a printout of your application record.
- Print your entry document from ÖSYM’s system before the exam and bring a valid ID on the day.
Late application day
If you miss the window you can still apply on the late application day in the calendar (14 October 2026 for 2026-YDS/2): the fee is 50% higher and must be paid the same day by card on ÖSYM’s site; bank payments are not accepted. Anyone who does not pay that day has the application deleted.
Fee exemption
Spouses and children of martyrs, and veterans with their spouses and children, pay neither the exam fee nor the application service fee; the exemption is checked against social security (SGK) records in ÖSYM’s system.
