What is the TOEFL Home Edition and is it accepted everywhere?
Facts last checked against official sources on October 7, 2026.
Short answer
TOEFL iBT Home Edition is the version you take at home with an online proctor; the content is the same as at a test centre and it runs 4 days a week, around the clock. Not every institution accepts it: for example, Boğaziçi University and Australian visa applications do not.
Equivalence in Turkey
Under ÖSYM’s rules an international test taken in Turkey must have been held in a building belonging to a state university; if you need the score for equivalence in Turkey, choose a test centre.
