Short answer
In 2026 the IELTS Academic and General Training fee in Turkey is listed at TRY 12,210 by IDP and TRY 12,000 at the British Council in İstanbul. IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills cost more. You pay when you book; providers update the amount during the year, so the figure on the booking page is the one that applies.
Fee by provider and test type
IELTS in Turkey is run by IDP and the British Council, each with its own price list. The same test type can differ slightly from city to city.
- IELTS Academic and General Training: IDP TRY 12,210, British Council (İstanbul) TRY 12,000.
- IELTS for UKVI and IELTS Life Skills: more than the standard test; the current amount is on the provider’s page.
- One Skill Retake: a separate, lower fee for retaking one section.
Payment and booking deadlines
You pay online as you book, and an unpaid booking is not complete. At IDP Turkey, booking closes 24 hours before a paper test and 3 days before a computer test, so pay as you book to avoid missing the date.
Paying only once
